Apollo Psychiatry takes its inspiration from its namesake deity, Apollo, the god of medicine, healing, harmony and art. Apollo was a complex deity, one who could bring ill-health as well as one who had the ability to cure. Apollo’s dichotomy of health and suffering is reflected well in humankind, for we all have the ability within us to thrive, but we sometimes need support in the journey to self-realization and improvement. In fact, suffering can bring with it the opportunity that drives emotional growth for a more resilient self. The undertaking of knowing oneself might be the most challenging yet rewarding experience of one’s life, with lasting results.

“The most intense conflicts, if overcome, leave behind a sense of security and calm that is not easily disturbed.”
— Carl Jung

To aid you in this journey of self-reflection and self-realization, my practice aims to extend a psychologically safe space and trauma-responsive approach that respects your privacy and openness to vulnerability. Treatment is established through a mutual collaboration and an exploration of your specific concerns, strengths, challenges, values, and goals. As a trained psychiatrist and psychotherapist, I work to complement medication management and psychotherapy while empowering you with information and skills for self-management over time.
